I spent a couple hours with Stacey at the Sacramento Central Library. We found some really interesting information about the cemetary and Cotton's family, mostly his gradparents and great grandparents. We made a bunch of copies, which Stacey is holding on to. I might go back and copy one of the books we were looking at in its entirety because the family history seemed to really be woven through the whole thing. I've been trying to put together a masterlist about Cotton's life/family.
I spent the rest of my hours on the internet. I found a couple of the postings from the accession file (ancestry & story from his death) so I linked those under my Cotton links. The most interesting item I came across is a forum from 2007/2008. It's only 3 pages, but we have locals discussing our Inn/restaurant. I posted it, but if anyone's looked at it, they haven't left any comments.

Laura, I hope you picked up the copies from the cemetery book because I only took the copies from the California Historical Soc. Quarterly and the newspaper articles in the file folder. If not, do you want to call them and see if he held them for you? He knows you intend to go back.
